Walking through Echo Park, I noticed that planes were flying all around the city from the local Airport. I crossed Hwy 36, to hear the differences in sounds between being right underneath the planes and being across the hwy from the planes. I decided that I like the way the planes sound across the hwy. The planes vibration off the lake and the sounds mixed with the regular city noise was like music to my ears.

Sound of Burlington Police
Walking over the ricked bridge to Congress St., hearing kids playing and dogs barking. I noticed a familiar sound that rang a different way in my ear. It was a Burlington Police Car going through town with sirens on. Yes, I hear that sound everyday but today it sounded better and unfamiliar. I hear the sirens in a new, loud way.
Burlington Train
I sat on the cornor of E. State St. in Burlington, WI on a busy Saturday morning. I heard birds chirping, kids screaming and playing, dogs barking, and planes flying. The most attention grabbing sound was the sound of the Good O'l Burlington Train in the distance. Normally, I would get mad that the train was coming because it basically shuts down the whole city, but this day was different. I enjoyed listening to the train rolling through the city from a distance.
Echo Lake Park Walk
As I spent a couple hours walking through Echo Park I listened to all the surrounding sounds. Kids playing, ducks quacking, traffic going by. All the beautiful sounds of Burlington, WI. I decided to sit next to Echo Lake on a picnic table and see what wonderful sounds I could hear. As I sat and listened I heard kids playing and ducks quacking loudly. I decided to record the two sounds together and see which takes over the other. The ducks and the kids took turns being loud.
